Sensory Friendly & Accessible Events and Opportunities

A sensory-friendly event is a modified gathering designed to be more comfortable and accessible for individuals with sensory processing differences, such as autism. It achieves this by adjusting environmental factors like reducing noise and lights, providing designated quiet areas, and ensuring staff are trained to offer support and communicate in a clear, direct manner. These events also often include sensory tools, like fidget toys and noise-canceling headphones, for attendees to use or simply a booster for kids to see better in theatre seating, etc.

The New England area is rich with cultural and sporting events and opportunities.  The following provides a list of organizations who regularly provide sensory friendly events and opportunities.
